THE FOUNDER

From Medicine to Marketing — Bridging Cultures between China and the UK

Hi, I’m Yuri — born and raised in Guangzhou, China, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. My journey started in Traditional Chinese Medicine, where I trained for five years, equipping me with rigorous analytical skills. A chance opportunity with Ogilvy introduced me to PR, leveraging my medical knowledge for a healthcare client.

After four years working with global brands in China, I moved to the UK to pursue a master’s in Marketing. Immersed in the energy and diversity of the UK, I discovered my passion for helping brands connect across borders. In 2017, I founded Linkup China, a UK PR agency for Chinese brands and British brands entering China, providing cross-border branding strategies that bridge cultures and drive real impact.

Over the past eight years, I’ve also served as a mentor, employability advisor, and business lecturer at UK universities. My mission: transform real-world PR and marketing experience into actionable insights for brands and the next generation of marketers.

This is my story — a medicine graduate turned PR founder, connecting brands and cultures across China and the UK. And it’s just the beginning.

您好，我是Yuri，来自广州，精通粤语、普通话和英语。本科五年学习中医训练了我的逻辑思维与分析能力，机缘巧合加入奥美公关，为多元客户提供专业公关服务，从此踏入品牌营销行业。

在中国四年工作后，我前往英国攻读市场营销硕士，被英国多元文化与创新精神深深吸引。2017年，我创办了连接英伦品牌顾问 —— 一家专注于中国品牌进入英国市场及英国品牌拓展中国市场的跨境公关与营销机构。我们通过量身定制的策略、KOL营销和名人合作，帮助品牌在两国市场实现有效传播。

创业八年来，我同时担任多所英国大学的商业导师和讲师，致力于将实际市场经验转化为可传授的知识，帮助品牌和年轻人才实现成长。

这是我的故事 —— 一位从医学转行的公关创始人，正在持续连接中英品牌与文化，而精彩才刚刚开始。
